I know I'm gonna get a lot of hate for saying this because apparently, nowadays anyone who doesn't like everything about Super isn't a "real fan", but I really don't like how now just getting angry suddenly rises your power to god levels even when you were way below that before.

Its like, in DBZ it was just used for kid Gohan because he was a kid and was subconciously holding back his power, but for grown characters to do it (reguarly now) it just seems like a cheap way of keeping popular characters relevant.

I love Future Trunks to death, but it makes no fucking sense that he can get even close to these guys's level. That's pure pandering on Toriyama's side.

goku first transformed into super saiyan because of his rage against freeza for killing krillin, gohans SS2 was also on a fit of rage against cell, even on this episode goku got stronger on his rage when finding out what black and zamasu did to chichi and goten, so theres consistency

also in the DBS manga trunks is on the level of SS3 goku while keeping SS2 form
