Exactly what happened at the end of XYZ.

I like that they left it to interperetation on weather or not Serena kissed Ash.

However, I get the feeling that she did not, simply because it would be difficult to have a happy reunion further down the line (ala the Pokemon School trip to Kanto and meeting up with Brock and Misty in Sun and Moon) with something so awkward hanging between them in the event the feeling isn't mutual for Ash, which is likely for if nothing else, the same reasons we always cite for why he has never shown any form of romantic feelings for any of the girls he has traveled with.
