He refers to himself as boku, and doesn't seem like the kind of girl who is confident enough to buck the system and refer to herself as boku. So, I'm going with male.

Besides, he doesn't know how to deal with women, so I too guess he's indeed a boy.
And then... anybody able to imagine him undergoing menstruation with that black blood?

Stop arguing over gender, even in the manga it's sex is never mentioned. -_-

my theory is that, when referred to as male, the one in referance is ragnarok, not chrona. im pretty sure chrona is a girl

She's (Chrona) is Medusa's daughter. Medusa states it while fighting/conversing with Stein.

No, Chrona's gender is never revealed. The creator hasn't even decided if what gender he wants Chrona. Also, don't rely on translations to determine Chrona's gender. Everyone (excluding Chrona his/herself) refers to Chrona using gender-neutral nouns and pronouns.

"Uh, Johnny? Might want to be careful around that helpless-looking little kid. Joh-- J-Johnny? Something grows out his b-- Look out, IT'S A TR-- Ohtheregoeshishead."

I guess it doesn't really matter either way at this point. Whatever he is he's going to make an adorable whatever he is. Though making him male would make his woobiness skyrocket, in turn causing any woman with an overbearing momma bear mindset would be roaring to save him - while making him female would make it a case of "break the cutie." At which point any male with the abundance of testosterone and the ability to sympathize would just be flocking to him. After which point likely expecting a "reward," naturally. So it's a win-win, really.

So relax pplz. Sheesh.
