A being from Australian Aboriginal mythology. Varies wildly in pop culture depictions because the Aboriginals never actually represented it in their art, fearing that doing so would draw its attention. Widely believed to be an amalgamation of the many predators that existed in Australia when the first humans arrived (dinosaur sized venomous lizards, terrestrial crocodiles, marsupial “lions” that were basically giant wolverines, etc) half remembered via ancestral memory.
