I think they did a "pleasable" job on the movie. Would you want to see the same old thing? I hope not. They went in the right direction and the added elements were good. Like the whole no tail thing. Goku was in high school.us It would be weird to be short in front but long in the back. And the Piccolo\ozaruu deal. That may be a new thing Akira Toriyami thought of(aint he the one who made the screenplay ?). And the whole " Bulma has brown hair!" complaints.She's supposed to be a punk\rebel, right? And if you look at her hair; there is a blue strand. So that is her only prob.

This movie was like they flipped through 3 or 4 volumes of Dragonball and Dragonball Z, picked out a couple of key words and then wrote a script around that. Since Twilight was popular, they decided to make them teenagers in high school and there you go, Dragonball:Evolution, a movie that wasn't made for fans cause anyone who knew anything about Dragonball wouldn't be able to stand this crap, and it wasn't made for anyone interested in good movies cause the acting was like everyone involved knew that this was gonna be complete crap, but went through the motions for the paycheck anyway.

After seeing Speed Racer, the only people I would ever trust to do any other anime based movie is the Watchowskee Brothers (they did the Matrix, V for Vendetta and SR). I mean, V was just an amazing adaption of the Graphic Novel, and Speed Racer was beyond amazing, the fact that people didn't like it still boggles my mind. It wasn't just "flashing colors" dammit, there was a simple, well done plot and story with character developement, and it was a whole story, which is just great by today's movie standards...
Seariously, they even did a DB style fight in the Matrix, just let them do the rest of the DB movies, or the Akira movie, or a Ghost in the Shell movie, they'd rock so hard.
