America feels it "won" WWII because it provided a lot of manpower and equipment without being bombed to hell like the rest of the allies. We also had the atom bomb, which was a much more visible key to victory than all the invaluable crypto work that went in in England.

Amen to fuckthewat's words. No one in their right mind claims America *alone* won the war. But its contribution to the effort was massive: in addition to providing the bulk of the Allies' manpower and weapons, America was the Ally clearly fighting on two fronts.

You can regurgitate your talking points anons, but I sincerely doubt that most people today in Japan would rather live under the Axis' fascistic military dictatorship then have had the allies destroy that regime (even with the war bringing much problems).
