Well anon4, lolicon is often a term used to describe someone who is infatuated with young girls, but it at the same time means pornographic material that either contains young girls or contains imagery of their likeness. As I'm sure your smart enough to know, your example is not fitting my argument. I was talking about loli images not pertaining to loli age, your talking about someone who is/portrays himself as a lolicon because they like lolis. Different. In cultural context, Japan considers Lolicons to be slightly different from pedophiles. Lolicons are more like people obsessed with the sexual art form that suggests young women whereas a pedo wants the physical thing. Your example is fitting, though, as the character calls himself a lolicon for liking young girls, but the physical act is different. Lolicons are people, loli is a form that suggests age but isn't actual depiction of age

Here is a simple example: guy 1 likes little girls irl. He is a lolicon.
Guy 2 watches lolicon hentai. The difference isn't just reality vs animated porn. A loli is someone who looks like a young girl. There is no age range for loli. There are many examples of girls who look young in anime but who are 300 years old, that's still a loli. A loli can be 10 or 3000 years old. Take Tatsumaki from One Punch Man. She is 30 something. Her younger sister Fubuki is also 30 something. Fubuki is younger, but looks older. Tatsumaki is older, but is a loli because she looks like a child.
