I'd have preferred it if the filler after Sasuke vs. Itachi focussed on the seventh, maybe it could be plot twisting like she was the grand daughter of Kakuzu and Naruto had to answer for it? xD

In traditional japanese Lore, a Fox with 9 tails was said to be super powerful, bordering on Godlike powers, making it a Demi-God creature. The Number of tails is supposed to be equivalant to their power. but in Naruto each of the beasts is super-powerful and I'm not sure if that carried over. Either way, that's why it's after Naruto.
