That would be what we musicians call a "mute" it goes over the horn of most wind instruments and creates a different sound. There are concave ones, conical ones, and cylindrical ones. There are even ones shaped like sex-toys, but NONE of them should be used as such.
I am undecided as far as the efficiency this one would have on such an instrument. Also the physics involved in creating such a device with enough internal pressure to actually amplify the PSI exerted by the human lungs is beyond comprehension. Either way, I doubt Yamaha would build it, but I don't doubt that they -could-.
