It would have been fun if this actually happened, maybe on the first arc (if she and the rest of the team had arrived way sooner to save Gaara).
Then again, it would have caused a lack of *some* future epic fights :3
And i have to disagree *up to a certain point* on the other comments. She becomes slightly more useful after the timeskip, where she becomes a mini Tsunade (healing ability+punching only comparable to Chuck Norris). I can agree on her not being useful at all on the first part (pre TS) though.
