'Ranma-chan' is from a manga/anime series where the main character, originally a guy, fell in a cursed spring in china so that whenever he is covered with cold water he becomes a chick and whenever he is covored in hot water, he becomes a guy

Btw, I hate smartasses who do big explanations like this just to make other people feel stupid too. I'm just trying to all the people who havn't watched/read ranma 1/2 about how he's actually a guy

^Well, it's certainly due now; Ranma 1/2 is now officially so old that the newest generation of american anime fans probably don't know anything about it.

Until the Dragonball Super/Sailormoon Reboot, most kids knew all about them without actually watching/read it.
