This almost sort of reminds me of a sort of Anime version of Richard and Kahlan from my favorite novel series - Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series.

The characters featured in this photo remind me of the two main characters in the novels - Richard and Kahlan. Kahlan has sort of brown-ish auburn hair and her most noted feature are her green eyes. Richard has brown hair and deep, hawk-like gray eyes.
