It's because the kana of kakashi's name can be romanized as "shi" or "si". It's right, don't worry about it.

What scizzer12 is saying is true. Turthermore, "si" is the oldfashioned way of writing "shi", so, in a certain way, I almost find it to be a more apropriate way of writing it de gozaru.

On a related topic: Is there a (legal) way to draw Kakashi non-cool?
