Named after Admiral John Jervis [1] (1st Earl of St Vincent, 1735–1823), she is the leader of the British Royal Navy's J-class destroyers which are part of a superclass which also includes the K- and N-classes, all sharing similar specifications. Jervis is the game's first wartime Allied destroyer. Like the earlier British shipgirls Warspite_(Kancolle) and Ark_Royal_(Kancolle), she was created by Konishi_(koconatu). She is voiced by Touyama_Nao, who also lends her voice to the Kongou-class shipgirls (among others) as well as half-Brit Kujou_Karen from Kin-iro Mosaic. Jervis is depicted with typical Caucasian features as commonly pictured of Britons by the Japanese: Long blonde_hair with blue_eyes. She wears a white sailor_dress with a black cropped blazer over it. She also dons white_gloves, a white sailor_hat, long white socks, and Mary_Janes. Among her rigging are her three QF 4.7-inch Mark XII guns. She also holds a cannon gun. Jervis made her first official appearance in the game during the Winter 2018 event. Before this, she appeared together with Warspite and Ark Royal in a visual shown at a program during the 2017 Zuiun Festival at the Fuji-Q Amusement Park. Jervis sometimes calls herself "Lucky Jervis," a historical nickname coined due to the fact that despite of her long service record spanning five and a half years and 13 battle honors with instances of damage and repairs along the way, not one of her crew was lost to enemy action. She backs it up with her 55 luck at Kai (3rd highest base luck, behind Yukikaze_(Kancolle) (60) and Warspite (70) and in front of Hatushimo_(Kancolle) (53) and several with 50 luck). The historical HMS Jervis served much of her career in the Mediterranean, escorting convoys and attacking land targets, as well as attacking several Italian convoys. She was present at the Battle of Cape Matapan where she assisted in the sinking of Zara_(Kancolle), and finished off Pola_(Kancolle) after taking off her remaining crew. She also took part in the D-Day landings. After World War II, she helped police the Italian waters before being used as an explosives test ship and then scrapped in 1949. As mentioned above, the historical Jervis earned 13 battle honors, equaling Orion and Nubian and only surpassed by Warspite, who has 15 honors. She is, however, largely overshadowed by superclass sister ship Kelly, leader of the K-class, who became known as a very unlucky ship.
