The American version has quite a few differences from the original including the removal of super moves and character portrait changes. Kobori Takeshi acted as the project lead while Aoi Hiroshi acted as main programmer. The artwork was handled by Yuuki_Nobuteru. The soundtrack was composed by Watanabe Yasuhisa. It was released in July 1994. The gameplay is a lot like other 2d fighting games of the decade, but this game incorporates power zones: whenever a player's special crush meter is full and the player hits an opponent with a special attack, the special attack will affect the stage's environment, often by destroying various pieces of it. The game was originally intended to receive follow ups in the form of an updated rerelease called Dan-ku-ga, and a sequel, but both were canceled, leaving this game a solo entry. Dan-ku-ga was released as a ROM and included with Taito Egret II Mini console in 2022. Kaiser Knuckle 2 ended up being redesigned as a new original game called Psychic Force in 1995. This game is notorious for featuring what is widely considered to be one of the hardest bosses in fighting game history, the General. Said boss is so difficult that it was not until 2009 that the first recorded instance of a player defeating him was posted, and in 2014, there was an event where various Japanese players worked together solely to beat him once and for all.
