He wears a black jacket and black pants and wears a different T-shirt in almost every episode. He looks like a tough low-life delinquent and is often treated like one by those who don't really know him. While he is good at brawling and does not do well at school, he is actually one of the friendliest and kindest characters in the series. He is a boisterous teenage boy who explicitly states that he wants to befriend everyone at Amanogawa High. He states that he has made over 1000 friends before coming to Amanogawa High and Joujima Yuuki is one of those many friends. Other people are often bewildered by how seriously he takes this goal as Gentarou goes out of his way to help and make friends with others, even people he initially does not get along with or people others feel don't deserve compassion. While Gentarou is initially a source of ridicule to other people, his genuine compassion, bravery, and dedication eventually wins people over. Gentarou is also a very honest and sincere boy who is unafraid to show whatever he's feeling. He feels that people should be honest whenever possible because he believes that when people are honest, he can truly become friends with them. Gentarou isn't afraid of anything except for cicadas and witches. Gentarou also has exceptionally poor grades and has a simple way of thinking. However, he is able to improvise good tactics when he needs to and he has a keen eye for small details like a person's tics. He has an interest in enka music and his cellphone ringtone is an enka song. He becomes Kamen_Rider_Fourze due to his insistence on helping Utahoshi Kengo fight the Zodiarts and Kengo's poor health limiting his physical endurance. Gentarou is a proficient fighter outside of the Fourze suit but becomes more powerful after transforming. As he is inexperienced at fighting Zodiarts, Kengo often acts as his advisor and strategist, instructing him on his abilities and coming up with battle strategies. He is played by Fukushi Sota who actually auditioned to play the character to make his parents, who are big Kamen Rider fans, happy. His Kamen Rider form is played by Takaiwa Seiji.
