She is an eccentric teen girl with morbid interests and has a dark aura that intimidates others, especially when she smiles. Besides the occult, she is interested in bugs and insects, an interest that disturbs Gentarou. She is also interested in Kamen Riders and views them as true heroes. She was the one to introduce the concept to Gentarou. Even before she officially joins the Kamen Rider Club, she takes an interest in their activities and secretly helps them. Tomoko is initially a very lonely girl with a lack of self confidence. She feels that she has nowhere that she really belongs and she is afraid of showing her true face to others, but Gentarou is able to get her to become more comfortable with herself and she joins the Kamen Rider Club whose members become her first real friends. She has the ability to see the true potential of the various Switches that Gentarou uses and Kengo develops. Tomoko develops an attraction to Sakuta Ryuusei and is one of the first members to see Ryuusei's true self. Ryuusei also reciprocates the attraction and has a soft spot for her.
