Now Viewing: okazaki_naoyukiTag type: Character (岡崎 直幸) Okazaki Tomoya's estranged father. He is an older bespectacled man with wrinkles on his face and stubbles on his chin. His eyes are often closed. He is often smiling, but he is not as happy as he appears or tries to be as he consumes a lot of alcohol and spends a large chunk of the day passed out on the floor. He is jobless, but had to raise Tomoya by himself since his wife passed away. After a serious argument with his son that ended with him accidentally breaking his son's shoulder and destroying Tomoya's dream of being a basketball player, their relationship became strained and awkward. He often tries to talk with Tomoya, but the potential conversations tend to go badly and only reinforce the distance between father and son. The situation between the two gets bad enough that Tomoya feels more comfortable living with the Furukawas than staying at his home and Tomoya comes to view his father as a sort of curse. Despite the distance between him and his father, Tomoya eventually learns that he is not as different from his father as he may think. In his younger days, he looked almost exactly like Tomoya but with glasses. Unlike the Furukawas, he aged poorly. There is a fan made English language visual novel prequel titled Clannad the Past Path that stars him. He is voiced by Naka_Hiroshi.
