Hachimitsu Academy, known for its strict academic standards and even stricter school code, is making a giant change this year. In the first time in school history, they are allowing boys to be admitted. As Fujino Kiyoshi starts his first day at Hachimitsu Academy he is shocked to find out that there are only four other guys in the entire school, making the ratio of girls to boys 200:1. And to their dismay, not one of the thousand girls will talk to them or even acknowledge them. But Kiyoshi and the guys are about to find out about the shadow student council that has been threatening the female students about interacting with male students. source: www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=63043 While the series is not a hentai, it is a very risque comedy with a lot of fanservice and sexual situations. The anime/manga's humor comes from the outrageous yet high-stakes situations the characters often get into, which they treat with utmost seriousness in spite of their absurdity, and the numerous over-the-top reaction faces where the characters' facial expressions will often shift into a hyper-detailed art style. The anime adaptation notably has a large amount of well known seiyuu in the cast. The manga has a distinctive naming scheme where each chapter is named after a movie although the manga itself does not parody aforementioned movies. However, Hiramoto identified American movies as being an influence on Prison School, particularly the 1967 prison drama Cool Hand Luke. The manga is Hiramoto's most popular and acclaimed work to date, selling over 7.5 million copies by December 2015 and winning the Best General Manga award at the 37th Kodansha Manga Award.
