It is well known for its copious amounts of fanservice and pantyshots, specifically the camera angles on panties of the many female characters that populate the show. The original series was released in Japan from 1997-1999, and two prequel series, AIKa R-16: Virgin Mission and AIKa ZERO, were released in 2007 and 2009, respectively.
