Now Viewing: chouchin_obakeTag type: General 提灯お化け (Chouchin obake, "paper lantern ghost") A paper_lantern youkai. Similar to the karakasa_obake, it has one eye (cyclops) and a long_tongue. Its name comes from the word chouchin, a term for lanterns that are made with a bamboo frame and a screen of either paper or silk. Futatsuiwa_Mamizou from Touhou uses a Chouchin obake in one of her attacks in Hopeless_Masquerade.
