Tag refers to the 1986 American movie starring Sylvester_Stallone.

It is a police action film directed by George P Cosmatos and written by Stallone, both of whom previously worked together on Rambo: First blood 2. It is an adaptation of the Paula Gosling novel Fair Game, but the film takes more inspiration from Stallone's unused ideas for a project that he was previously involved with, Beverly Hills Cop, which was meant to star Stallone during development. It was also inspired by the iconic cowboy cop action franchise, Dirty Harry, and this film notably features two major actors from said series in its cast, Andrew Robinson and Reni Santoni. The film's synth score was composed by Sylvester Levay. The film stars then husband and wife duo Stallone and Brigitte Nielsen, and was the last time they collaborated before they had a serious falling out/break up. The two would not work together again until Creed 2 in 2018. The film was released on May 23, 1986.

It tells the story of Marion 'Cobra' Cobretti, a cop with a no nonsense approach to dealing with criminals, which often gets him into trouble with his superiors. His newest assignment is to protect a model named Ingrid Knudsen, who has been targeted by a cult called the New World. Said cult is highly violent, spreading terror throughout Los Angeles and justifying their brutality as a way of culling the weak. They are led by the Night Slasher, the most vicious killer of them all. Ingrid is now being targeted because she witnessed one of their killing sprees. Cobra must now use his skills to protect Ingrid, who he's steadily falling for, and stop the New World.

The film was initially over two hours long, but was significantly trimmed down to an 1 hour 30 minute length both due to box office competition with Top Gun, which premiered a week before, and to tone down the initial violence to secure an R rating. Said unedited cut has never been made available. The film received generally negative reviews from critics but was a box office success, grossing 160 million dollars at the box office. The film was also an inspiration for the more critically successful 2011 crime movie Drive with its protagonist also sharing Cobra's toothpick in mouth habit. The film's poster, showing Cobra with a gun in hand, wearing sunglasses, and a matchstick in his mouth, is often parodied.
