Now Viewing: gengetsuTag type: Character 幻月 Gengetsu (幻月) is a Touhou_(PC-98) enemy demon who appeared as Extra stage boss #2 in Lotus_Land_Story. Mugetsu is her younger sister. Gengetsu's name literally means "illusory moon" when the kanji are read separately; read together they mean "paraselene" or "moondog", which is a type of optical illusion. It's interesting that Gengetsu is the only character in the whole series to use the kanji 幻 (Gen, lit. illusory) in their name. Touhou's main location, Gensoukyou, (幻想郷) also uses the same kanji. In Lotus_Land_Story's official art, Gengetsu has yellow_eyes, short blonde_hair, and wears a pink and white dress and a red vest. She also has white wings that resemble an angel's wings.
