He is a BPS agent and was formerly a well-respected law enforcer and is still respected by Leo, but the man's tragic downfall becomes the starting point of Max_Anarchy's conflict and he is now on the run from his former allies. Jack Cayman was sent by Max's daughter Jeanne to retrieve him peacefully but Jack himself is more interested in enacting bloody vengeance on Max for being responsible for his daughter's death. Max is painfully aware of the misery he has caused and when Leo meets him, he remains friendly with him. However, Max dangerously changes moods often; one moment he seems like a friendly if gloomy man and the next moment he becomes a paranoid and murderous psychopath. These violent swings in mood and personality seem to be the result of the drugs he had taken to cure his trauma. He uses blades that come out of his cybernetic arms as weapons. His theme song is the melancholic rap song Testin' Me by Doujah Raze, which is about Max's deep-seated personal problems. He is voiced by Ogawa_Shinji (JPN) and Robert Pine (ENG).
