Now Viewing: moriya_shrineTag type: General 守矢神社 Moriya Jinja The Moriya Shrine (守矢神社, Moriya Jinja) is a shrine dedicated to Shintoism that originated from the Outside world and was transported into Gensoukyou —a magical land in the Touhou video games and related media— by Yasaka_Kanako during the start of the events of Mountain_of_Faith. The shrine is now located somewhere near the top of Youkai_Mountain with the Divine Lake that was also transported with it. This shrine is home to Kochiya_Sanae, whose role is similar to a Shrine Maiden (miko), and its resident gods Yasaka_Kanako and Moriya_Suwako. Both the kappa and tengu have come to accept Kanako as a resident god and now live in peace. As the shrine gets few visitors, its primary source of income comes from selling bits of technology from the outside world to kappa.
