Nekomasu is a Virtual Youtuber who looks a small girl with fox ears and tail whose content consists of vlogs. Nekomasu debuted on November 2, 2017. However, Nekomasu is voiced and performed by her male creator who speaks in his clearly masculine normal voice and functions more as his virtual avatar. Nekomasu is notably not the first time the creator has done this as prior to the explosion in popularity of Virtual Youtubers, he has posted videos featuring himself represented by a female avatar with pink hair, but after the virtual youtuber phenomenon took off, he returned to the idea using Nekomasu as his new avatar and posting more frequently.
