(ペンパイナッポーアッポーペン )

A simple short comedic song/music video composed and performed by comedian Kousaka Daimaou and released under his musician persona Piko-taro. It premiered on August 25, 2016. Ppap stands for Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen. The song's lyrics, which are all in English, consist of Piko-taro describing what object he has and combining it with another object he has to form a new object. In the music video, the lyrics are illustrated via hand gestures.

The song became memetically popular after its equally short and simple music video was uploaded, spawning numerous parodies and earning millions of views. The song's simplistic lyrics are often quoted in their entirety with the objects frequently being swapped out with others to form new combinations. This song also holds the distinction of being the shortest song to hit the U.S Billboard Hot 100, beating the record set by the 1964 song Little Boxes by The Womenfolk.
