Now Viewing: seitokai_no_ichizonTag type: Copyright Comedy series created by Sekina Aoi. It debuted as a light novel in 2008, and has been adapted into an anime and a manga. The novel's character designs were done by Inugami_Kira. It was originally called Hekiyou Gakuen Seitokai Gijiroku, but it was later changed to its current more well known title. The first season of the anime was released in 2009 and was animated by Studio Deen. It was directed by Satou Takuya and written by Hanada Jukki with character designs by Horii_Kumi. The second season was released in 2012 and was animated by a different studio resulting in a different visual style. Some of the characters' voice actors have also been replaced and these changes are explicitly pointed out in the fourth wall breaking first episode. Other than that, the second season picks up where the last one left off. The second season is animated by AIC and was directed by Imaizumi Kenichi and written by Yoshida Reiko. Character designs were handled by Onoda_Masahito The series focuses on the various comedic shenanigans of the easily distracted Hekiyou Academy Student Council, which consists of Sugisaki Ken (the only male), Sakurano Kurimu, Akaba Chizuru, Shiina Minatsu, and Shiina Mafuyu. The series and its adaptations have a habit of beginning with a meta fourth wall demolishing episode with the character discussing and arguing over how the story's going to proceed. In the anime and manga adaptations of Seitokai no Ichizon, the novel series apparently exists in-universe and was written by Sugisaki Ken himself. The series's jokes are rapid fire and are loaded with video game and anime references. The characters also frequently discuss and poke fun at the conventions of both. The series has small cast with few background extras and almost all of the action in the series takes place within the small student council room.
