Now Viewing: shining_needle_castleTag type: General 輝針城 Kishinjou The Shining Needle Castle is a castle in Touhou's Gensoukyou that's located in the sky near the base of Youkai_Mountain. It's also referred to as the Inverted Castle (逆さ城 Sakasajou), though it's unknown whether this is a proper name for the castle or just an informal description of it. It is the home of Sukuna_Shinmyoumaru. The Shining Needle Castle might be inspired by a stage called "Inverted Castle" [1] (逆さ城 Sakasajou) in Castlevania:_Symphony_of_the_Night or by the "Treasure Palace of Stone" (石の宝殿 Ishi no Houden), a large, weird, dug-out cube-like megalith with a water pool at its base which looks like it's floating. Now worshiped as the god of the Oushiko shinto shrine in Hyougo Prefecture. In the legends about Ishi no Houden's creation we find the characters Sukunahiko and Amanojaku. Sukunahiko was one of the inspirations of Sukuna_Shinmyoumaru. And Amanojaku is the species of Kijin_Seija, Shinmyonmaru's ally in Double_Dealing_Character.
