Now Viewing: shiritsu_justice_gakuenTag type: Copyright Shiritsu Justice Gakuen, internationally known as Rival Schools: United by Fate, is the first game of the series Justice_Gakuen, which is a series of 3D fighting games by Capcom. The original title is 私立ジャスティス学園 LEGION OF HEROES (Shiritsu Justice Gakuen: Legion of Heroes, "Private Justice Academy: Legion of Heroes"). It was originally released as an arcade game in 1997 and ported to the PlayStation in 1998. On February 23, 2012 Capcom released Shiritsu Justice Gakuen: Legion of Heroes on the Japanese PlayStation Network. Two main features of Shiritsu Justice Gakuen are the two-person team fights and the fighting styles of the characters, which are based on the sports, hobbies or fields of expertise. e.g. A baseball player uses a bat for fighting; a tennis player uses a racket; a journalist uses a photographic camera and a microphone; etc. The story of Justice_Gakuen/Rival Schools introduces the player to a Japanese city called Aoharu City, where several local schools are the victims of unknown attacks and kidnappings of students and staff. The various characters in the game set out to find who is responsible for the attacks on their school, with the cut-scenes and fights portraying their interactions with the other schools and among themselves. Capcom released a Japan-only, PlayStation-only update of Shiritsu Justice Gakuen: Legion of Heroes titled 私立ジャスティス学園 熱血青春日記2 (Shiritsu Justice Gakuen: Nekketsu Seishun Nikki 2, "Private Justice Academy: Hot-Blooded Youthful Diary 2"). This game introduced two additional characters, Hibiki_Ran of Taiyo High School and Namikawa_Nagare of Gorin High School, as well a new version of the Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki school sim mode, which features additional mini games and further plot developments over the original Shiritsu Justice Gakuen: Legion of Heroes. The worldwide-released, multiplatform sequel (not an update) to Shiritsu Justice Gakuen: Legion of Heroes is called 燃えろ!ジャスティス学園 (Moero!_Justice_Gakuen, "Burn! Justice Academy"). It was titled Project Justice in North America and Project Justice: Rival Schools 2 in Europe, Australia, and Latin America.
