Now Viewing: twisterTag type: Copyright Tag refers to images referencing the popular multiplayer physical party game. It was created by Charles Foley and Neil Rabens for Milton Bradley Company and Winning Moves Games USA and debuted on December 14, 1966. It was planned to be titled Pretzel before Milton Bradley decided Twister would be a better name. The game is played on a white mat with colored circles all over it. The mat is accompanied by a spinner that dictates which circle the player must place their hand or foot on. In 2 player games, players can't touch the circle another player is on. If a player falls down, s/he is eliminated. As the game goes on, it becomes increasingly difficult for the players to maintain their balance while contorting themselves into the increasingly awkward positions the spinner dictates, hence the name Twister. The game was licensed to Nintendo which released in Japan under the name Twister Game.
