Now Viewing: harime_nuiTag type: Character A blonde girl who styles her hair into two giant twin tails. She dresses in a lolita style dress and has an eyepatch in the shape of the katakana of her name on one of her eyes. She often carries around an umbrella. She is a perpetually cheerful girl who speaks in a sweet tone. She becomes interested in Ryuuko's battle against the Elite Four soon after she arrives in Honnouji Town and decides to become involved in the tournament, literally dropping into the middle of one of Ryuuko's fights. She is the true murderer of Ryuuko's father, Isshin, and carries the other half of Isshin's scissor blade and she displaces Satsuki as Ryuuko's main nemesis after Harime reveals this fact. In reality, Harime is a coldblooded, sadistic, spiteful, and cruelly manipulative girl who feels bitter towards Isshin because of his superior creations. In spite of her dark personality, she almost always has a smile on her face and maintains a sweet and playful tone even as she commits atrocities. Isshin is also responsible for blinding Harime in one eye, which he did right before she killed him. Harime openly reveals her identity as Isshin's murderer without prompting from Ryuuko in order to provoke Ryuuko into overexerting herself and Senketsu, a plan that succeeds, as Ryuuko, in her blind rage, pushes herself and Senketsu to the point that the two merge together and transform into an out of control monster. Ryuuko only comes back to her senses thanks to the intervention of Mako and Satsuki bans Harime from the school grounds. But Harime does not like having her revenge interrupted and she once again defies Satsuki's wishes by disguising herself as a male club president named Nagita Shinjirou and manipulating Ryuuko into putting on Senketsu again. This time, Harime manages to temporarily destroy Senketsu by cutting him into pieces. Fortunately for Ryuuko, Satsuki shows up and prevents Harime from finishing Ryuuko off. Senketsu also survives Harime's attack giving Ryuuko the opportunity to make a come back and become stronger than before. Despite Nui's attempts to either kill Ryuuko or ruin her life, Nui displays a twisted attraction to her that for the most part she doesn't show to others. Harime is known as the Grand Couturior and is affiliated with the Kiryuuin family. Satsuki had sent Harime to get ahold of Isshin's research. Despite her affiliation with the Kiryuuins, she is one of the few people Satsuki is unable to control as Harime often does whatever she wants, forcing Satsuki to adapt to the changing circumstances brought upon by Harime's actions. Although she does not wear a uniform, she is extremely powerful with superhuman strength, speed, and endurance. She fights using her umbrella, the other half of Isshin's scissors, and her fingers; with her pinky, she can strike at her opponents' at the right spot and unravel their clothing leaving her opponent powerless. Besides her fighting prowess, she can also create life-like dolls that are virtually indistinguishable from a human by using Life Fibers. She is also proficient at disguising herself and stalking others. Harime often flirts with others as a way of provoking them. She believes that love and hate are two sides of the same coin and in her mind, loving someone passionately is the same as hating someone passionately. In spite of her love of provoking others, she does not take the possibility of losing or being inferior to someone else well. When she is angry, her voice drops several octaves and drops her cute way of speaking. Harime is also a life fiber infused being like Ragyou and Ryuuko. In her case, she was born from the original Life Fiber and Ragyou was present during her birth, extracting her from the Life Fiber's artificial womb and she has been affiliated with Ragyou ever since, considering the woman to be her mother. Her status as a being made out of Life Fibers is why she is so strong and sturdy. After discovering that Ryuuko is also a life fiber infused human, she claims that Ryuuko is her 'soul sister.' Despite her superficially pleasant demeanor, she is always accompanied by the ominous second half of the track (#17) Killakill on the Kill la Kill soundtrack representing her true malevolent nature. She is unique amongst the cast in that her movements are unusually stiff looking. She is voiced by Tamura_Yukari in one of her relatively few villain roles. She is also known for playing a lot of cute and genuinely sweet female characters and uses a similar tone of voice for this villainous role..
