A one-piece school_swimsuit common in Japan from the 1950s to the 1980s; usually blue or black in color with thicker shoulder straps, vertical seams over the torso and a flap over the groin. Sometimes has a white name tag stitched across the chest.

Real Japanese schools in the modern day normally issue their female students something that more closely resembles the cut of a conventional one-piece_swimsuit: the new_school_swimsuit.
