She specializes in cosplaying various video game characters and is well known for cosplaying as Juliet Starling from Lollipop Chainsaw. She got the opportunity to cosplay as Juliet after winning a contest at IGN that was searching for a model to portray Juliet. Jessica cosplayed as Starling at the 2012 Penny Arcade Expo East. She also had her first voice acting role in the Web Animation series RWBY where she played one of the series' villains Cinder. Like fellow RWBY voice actor Michael Jones, she has also gone on to voice act in English dubs of anime, starting with playing Super Sonico in SoniAni: Super Sonico the Animation.
