Now Viewing: gotouzaTag type: Character Gotouza A.K.A. Gotou_Yuuko (後藤邑子) is a female character in Lucky_Star. She is a hyper-masculine bousouzoku-style (japanese motorcycle gang-style) caricature of [Japanese voice actress] Gotou Yuuko that appeared as a guest in the Lucky Channel segment of Lucky_Star. She acted as a mediator between Shiraisi_Minoru and Kogami_Akira, who fear and respect her, and call her "Gotouza-sama." Gotouza is a direct parody of the real Gotou being a devotee of the biker culture and a contrast with her frequent casting as timid and cute characters (e.g. Asahina_Mikuru). Like Kuroi_Nanako, she has a sharp tooth protruding from one corner of her mouth, it can be seen when she got on the motorcycle. The name of Gotouza comes from the fact that Gotou likes the anime/manga Hokuto_no_Ken. The nickname is derived from the name Souther (サウザー Sauzaa), one of the main antagonists of the first part of that famous manga. Sugita_Tomokazu, the voice actor of Kyon in Suzumiya_Haruhi_no_Yuuutsu, gave her that nickname when he discovered she was a big fan of that manga. Also, the motorcycle shown during her appearence in Lucky Star is her own motorcycle.
