It was originally released on April 1, 2014 for Microsoft Windows and was ported to other systems. In spite of what the title may imply, this game is not meant to be a realistic simulation of what being a goat is like. Instead, it is described by its lead developer Armin Ibrisagic as "an old school skating game, except instead of being a skater, you're a goat, and instead of doing tricks, you wreck stuff." It was also created as a parody of simulation games like Euro Truck Simulator and was originally not intended to be a full game, but when Coffee Stain Studios uploaded a video of the game in its alpha form on Youtube, it was met with positive fan response, inspiring the developers to make it a full blown game. The player plays as a goat and is free to wander around the world and gain points by performing spectacular and, due to the game's intentionally exaggerated physics system, often wacky stunts. What would often be considered glitches in other sandbox games are considered features in this game and the developers have only fixed 'glitches' that cause the game to crash. Upon release, the game received very mixed reviews from professional critics Other Wiki Information Last updated: 03/07/16 6:33 AM by jojosstand This entry is not locked and you can edit it as you see fit. |
