He is tall, muscular man usually clad in armor and wearing a tattered black cape. He wields a large sword and is feared by many for his fighting prowess. He is a man with a deeply troubled past and is constantly being attacked by powerful demons thanks to being cursed by a Brand of Sacrifice on his neck. Due to his horrific past experiences, he is rarely happy and is determined to kill the Apostles and the Godhand and is ruthless in his pursuit for vengeance. Nevertheless, he still has kindness in his heart. He values the few friends he has and deeply cares about Casca whose well-being is a major part of his motivation.
