Now Viewing: kite_liberatorTag type: Copyright 2008 Sequel of sorts to the original Kite. Umetsu_Yasuomi once again writes and directs. It is a mostly stand alone entry with a few references to the original and unlike the original moves into science fiction territory. It is also comparatively lighter in tone and the violence and sex are toned down compared to the original though there is still gore and fan service (but no explicit sex). Noguchi Monaka is the Angel of Death, a mysterious female teen assassin who roams the night wiping out various criminals. But outside of her job, she is bespectacled teen girl who acts clumsy and sweet so people do not suspect her and has recently taken a job as a waitress at a restaurant owned by a suspect owner. She also longs to see her astronaut father Noguchi Orodo who has been working at a space station for several years. The father and daughter receive a reunion, but not the one they hoped for: Noguchi has mutated into a hideous and uncontrollable monster after ingesting some space food and has fallen to Earth and Monaka has unknowingly taken a job to eliminate him. . .
