Undeaddragon: I was adding to the shrek meme. And before that I asking about violence in the general to explicit rating.
Sasamisa: Its a minor cultural milestone in the US at least. And I was being sarcastic about the europeans joke. Is english not your first language sasamisa? No offense or anything, I just mean that that might be why you didn't get the joke, cuz they don't always translate well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .
Hah, a born and bred Brit whose first language isn't English! That would be a thing, wouldn't it? (never been accused of that before). Of course, my old English teachers would probably have agreed with you back in the day because I was bloody terrible at it, on the occasions I actually bothered to turn up for class, that is. Thanks to Japanese study though, I'm probably around A-level standard these days. (#^_^#)
Yeah, and I got the sarcasm, but I missed the Shrek meme first of all until I looked it up. I really don't like Pixar movies in truth: too uncanny valley for me. Like with Disney, I also find them all too Americanised compared to the original tales - and yes, I was being sarcastic as well, since there are a lot of American things I do like. I still wish you'd quit it with the titty cancer and blatant in your face alphabet stuff though, and go back to doing what you did best during the 80s & 90s. (^_^)
Simski said: I don't really understand the need for more than 3 ratings.
Safe: Not sexual or explicitly violent, no implications of mature themes, no swearing. No genitalia or nipples. A child could legally view it Questionable: Sexual or mature themes, violence and swearing but no visible penetration or genitalia. A teenager could legally view it Explicit: Sexual acts and extreme violence, as well as offensive political content. Only adults should view it.
There. Why add another tag and make a simple system much more confusing.
There are no laws (in most places) banning children or teenagers from viewing anything.
The reasoning (as I understood it) was to further divide the old "safe" category. It still included some somewhat suggestive stuff that you still would not be comfortable viewing in public. The new general category would be that, and the new sensitive would be what was left of safe.
I'd like to reiterate though that I think "general" and "sensitive" are genuinely terrible names. There is so much sexual content being uploaded into both of those categories because they both sound like they could include it. It realy seems like the intention as I understood it is not at all the state of things.
Literally all sensitive images should be fully clothed, if I understand correctly. If they're not fully clothed that's questionable. The images above kinda put emphasis on her legs or hips, and I would probably be slightly uncomfortable being caught looking at those images depending on the context.
On the other hand these two should definitely be general, I'm changing them:
gelbooru.com/index.php?pa...p;s=profile&id=752420 This user has been changing the ratings of Explicit, Questionable and Sensitive posts to General, such as those depicting completely nude characters, cameltoes and covered erect nipples. I've only changed a couple dozen back.
