Giving her blessing? Or wishing her luck in controlling Kyuubi; since I believe the previous Jinchuuriki Dies while having the beast extracted. Judging by the look in Kushina's eyes, I would peg this to be the case.

That's not always the case with a full-blooded Uzumaki as Kushina survived the extraction of Kurama by Obito.

Kushina did not survive the extraction. Her Uzumaki blood just prevented her from dying immediately like most jinchurikii. She was going to die soon but kurama impaling her with his big ass claw sped it up
